SPORTSMAN NET CANCELED
#1
Hello Everyone,

I'm sorry to announce that the Sportsman Net on the Peak Radio Association repeater system has been canceled indefinitely due to a conflict of interest.

Last Wednesday, the net was prematurely ended by the Net Control Operator due to an agreement that could not be reached by the NCO and the repeater owner who set new guidelines for the usage of the repeater system for the net. The decision made by the repeater owner was valid in the interest of the repeater users as well as the repeaters use as defined under the Terms of Repeater Usage on the W7PRA website. It is important that all PRA repeater users read and understand these terms.

At this time, there are no voluntary Net Control Operators to continue The Sportsman Net so as a result the net is now permanently canceled unless a compromise can be met or if a new NCO resumes the net under the new set guidelines.

The new guidelines are (as described by the repeater owner):
The net will run no longer than one hour and contacts between the NCO and the net participants will last no longer than five minutes.

The Tuesday Night Swap Net, The Newsline Net, the Anything Goes Open Net (AGON) along with the EGGNOG net and the new Sound Off Net will continue as before, but are all subject to change.

Maybe with a little luck we can get The Sportmans Net back on the air.
