I run JT65a once in a while. Have not transmitted other modes as of yet. I need to work on my homebrew interface a little more, but it works well with some fiddling. I plan the experiment with more modes in the future.

wow Mat I have tried the JT65 mode but i found it a little slow for me kinda like olivia I really like to rag chew on BPSK-31 if I just want contacts and a short exchange i like the psk-64 or 125 it is a lot faster.

Oh - I somehow completely missed this thread.

I've been playing with PSK31 and HRD (And some other programs for it). I have been having pretty good luck copying transmissions from others, but I haven't had much luck replying to anything. I really need to get a better antenna up for HF before I think I'll have much luck with transmissions.

On the plus side, I found out today that I'm not really covered by a HOA. Thank goodness! All the houses around me have an HOA except myself and the other four houses built as "demos" by the developer. Now I can go about deciding what I want to do.

It doesnt take much for an antenna Vaughn for quite a while i was working with an Inverted Vee and i still use it for 40,30,17,12 meters and once in while I find it works better than the beam for 20,15,10 ? How many watts are you using I find with the wire i need to really bump it up to about 50 if condx are not good it helps make up for the losses in the system though i have ran as high as 100 watts just remember that it is like a key down mode but when condx are good it is a great lot of fun to dial it down to a watt or 2 and work QRP.

I was hoping when I started this thred that there would have been a bigger response. I know there are people that are interested in working HF digital out there they just need a little help getting started and I know that there are people out there that work it that could help them out but im not seeing much response here. I guess that it might be there are not many people that are interested in doing HF work out there?

Any way hope to see you on the waterfall one day Vaughn

I will decidedly be helping out however I can - I'm looking forward to it!

All I've really got left to do before Field Day is to figure out what I can finagle for a portable temporary tower. I'm leaning towards getting two sections of Rohn 25 and making a hitch-mount portable tower...
