AGON Up For Grabs
#1
Well everybody, I'm sad to say that I myself will not be able to do AGON this Friday or anytime soon after that. I am in the process of moving, my home station is completely disassembled and where I'm moving to unfortunately does not allow antennas. I'm hoping this new QTH is only temporary and the place I have my eye on (which isn't available yet) will be a little more antenna friendly and I can get back on the air full time. I will still be able to do Swap Net, but from my cramped camper (or cramper as I call it) on my lease property.

I'm not sure, but I think Chris W7WZA is back behind the wheel of his big diesel, so I don't think he'll be around much to help out either.

In the meantime, unless someone else is willing to cover AGON from this time forward, AGON just simply won't happen. Chris and I did our best for the last month, or so, to keep the net going as long as possible, we both had a blast and enjoyed all who helped keep the shenanigans going.

The Friday the day before Field Day was our last AGON which took place at the PRA Field Day site south of Corvallis with Dale KL2BO as our third NCO. It was great having him show up and helping Chris and I out. Also thanks to everyone who checked in over the air and to those who did a "in person" check in. Even if we did have generator problems and hum issues, we still had fun. Who knows, maybe someday things will work out and AGON will continue to thrive.

AGON is now officially up for grabs.

Ok, great Raymond, that leaves the other Friday for whoever else that wants to take over or just fill in. I guess even if AGON were to happen every other Friday that's better than nothing!
